Don't forget about the COMBA Social ride and Afterparty this Thursday, June 9!   The Social Ride will take place at Lair-o-the-Bear trail in Morrison.  Regardless of where you ride (or don't) on Thursday, you are welcome to join us for the COMBA "afterparty" at the Red Rocks Grill in Morrison, 8:00pm.  Members and guests are all welcome.

COMBA Social Rides are great for riders of varying skill levels since we break into 3 or 4 groups so those of similar capabilities can stick together during the ride.  Social rides occur the 2nd Thurs of each month.This month's Social ride will take place at Lair-o-the Bear trail in Morrison; http://www.singletracks.com/bike-trails/lair-o-the-bear-bear-creek-trail... The riders who showed up for the first Beginner ride of the season on May 5th at Bear Creek Lake Park in Morrison were well rewarded with some incredible riding in perfect weather!  Great fun was had by all as we spent 1.5hrs cruising the well maintained trails throughout the park.  Unfortunately the weather didn't hold out the following week for the Social ride or the next Beginner ride two weeks later, both were canceled due to rain and poor conditions.  That said, the trails benefited from the moisture and we are hoping for excellent conditions during today's Beginner ride at South Valley Park in Littleton and next week's Social ride at Lair-o-the-Bear Park in Morrison.  Check our calendar at http://www.comba.org/calendar or email to grouprides@comba.org for details.  Looking forward to seeing you on one of our upcoming Beginner or Social rides!
