BE HEARD: Jeffco To Hold Public Forums on Apex Park June 18th and 20th

Most of you already know that Jefferson County is considering changes to the management strategy in an effort to enhance the visitor experience at Apex, one of the most popular mountain biking spots on the Front Range. A big thanks to everyone who has already filled out an Electronic Feedback Form.

The opportunity to take your message directly to Jeffco is now. Jefferson County Opens Space (JCOS) will host two open houses this week to collect public feedback on Apex management strategies, and we need a good turnout from mountain bikers to make sure that county officials take our concerns seriously. Please try to attend one or both meetings, which will be at:

- 6:30 - 8 p.m. on Thursday, June 18, at JCOS Headquarters, Ponderosa Room, 700 Jefferson County Parkway, Golden, CO 80401

- 9:30 - 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 20, at JCOS Headquarters, Ponderosa Room, 700 Jefferson County Parkway, Golden, CO 80401

In addition, the COMBA board is planning to unveil its proposal on Apex management at the meeting Thursday. Stay tuned for additional information on that very, very shortly.

In the meantime, we encourage you to fill out one of the Electronic Feedback Forms created by COMBA. You can reach it at: http://www.comba.org/apex_survey.html. Jefferson County will be accepting public input through these forms through Tuesday, June 30.

This is important stuff for Front Range mountain bikers. Please forward this information to others. The findings from this public process will be presented to Jeffco's Open Space Advisory Council on Ju
