Join us for a weekend of trail building in Buffalo Creek on May 22nd and 23rd

Join us for a fun weekend of trail building, camping, and friends in Buffalo Creek on the weekend of May 22nd and 23rd. Our April weekend was a huge success which saw the construction and armoring of several difficult rock sections and new singletrack leading to the peak of the ridge. In the upcoming build weekend we will be continuing work on the "black diamond trail" on building transitions from drops, berms, and connecting the trail to its lower intersection with Homestead trail. We also will be working on twisty new section of trail on Charlie's Cut-off.

We need dirt moving machinery for Golden Bike Park!

The Golden Bike Park was approved by the Golden City Council, permits were granted, IMBA Tail Solutions is on-site, and construction has begun! We have 600 tons of dirt being delivered to the site. We currently have two Bobcats and one mini excavator running (compliments of Yeti), but we need more dirt moving machinery and qualified operators to maximize IMBA's time on the job.

Golden Bike Park

Working with the City of Golden, Parks & Recreation and the neighboring community of Fairmount, COMBA is pleased to be actively building the Golden Bike Park. Located just a few miles northeast of Downtown Golden at the Tony Grampsas Memorial Sports Complex, Golden Bike Park will offer natural surface bike park trails and features designed to provide a “near country” experience for cyclists of all ages and skill levels— comprised primarily of a Flow Trail and a Skills Area.

Golden Bike Park is a volunteer project, and we need your help! Volunteers will have an opportunity to build a great mountain bike park while learning trail building skills. If you have time to give to a great project, please sign up on our Volunteer Registration page.

Jefferson County Open Space Seeking Mountain Bike Volunteers

It is rare that we get an opportunity such as this to be able to put ourselves into a position of volunteering for JCOS. However, this is exactly the opportunity that we, as a mountain bike community have.

Jefferson County Open Space wants to put more volunteer mountain bike patrollers out on the trails and are requesting that interested parties apply. What an tremendous opportunity to become involved with this organization and do a little diplomatic outreach at the same time!

Golden Bike Park Needs Your Help!

On Tuesday, February 16th, we will be making a formal presentation to the City of Golden Parks and Recreation Advisory Board regarding the proposed Golden Bike Park. This is an open-house event, starting at 7 PM at the Golden Community Center. We are expecting opposition from local neighbors and are calling on supporters to attend- especially residents of Golden or nearby areas. This is the first step of two for the approval process, which we hope to have granted by month's end for early Spring groundbreaking. Please join us next Tuesday evening and let Golden know that this is a good idea!
