Community Ride: VCMP

Join us for a COMBA Community Ride at the newly re-opened Virginia Canyon Mountain Park in Idaho Springs! This group ride is all about connecting with fellow riders, enjoying the outdoors, and getting to know this incredible new riding zone right in our backyard. Then grab a beer with us at a local favorite Yards Taphouse after the ride!

NOTE: There is NO TRAILHEAD PARKING. Please refer to this list of places to park in Idaho Springs and pedal over to the trailhead.

What to Expect:

• A no-drop, social-paced group ride

• Riders will have the choice of an intermediate/blue or advanced/black descent

• Opportunities to learn more about COMBA and future trail plans

• Good vibes, new friends, and community connection

Details:

• Trek Trails at Virginia Canyon Mountain Park

• Meet at Gilson Gulch Footbridge (between Maison de Ski Shop/Rafting and the Sinclair)

• Ride rolls out at 6:00 PM – arrive a little early to gear up

• Intermediate/Blue Riders: Pedal up Rosa Gulch to the hub, then head over to Buttermilk Peak to descend Hopper. We will then have a short pedal up to descend Gauntlet Gold, the newest blue trail to the bottom!

• Advanced/Black Riders: Pedal up Rosa Gulch to the top, then descend Drop Shaft top to bottom

• What to Bring: Helmet (required), water, snacks, bike in good working order

• Recommended Bike: Trail or all-mountain bike
