​Why should I become a member with the Colorado Mountain Bike Association?
Supporting COMBA means better rides for you! Each year, we invest over 10,000 hours into trail construction and maintenance across the Central Front Range, partnering with 12 land managers and stewarding 500+ miles of trail. We’ve brought to life three standout systems of Floyd Hill, Maryland Mountain, and most recently Trek Trails at Virginia Canyon Mountain Park—all packed with bike-only directional trails. Beyond the dirt, we lead advocacy, community programs, and long-term access trail work so you can enjoy world-class riding close to home. Your membership helps ensure mountain biking remains a priority for generations to come.

​What benefits do I receive?
In addition to supporting more and better trails, members receive discounts and special offers from our local business partners. These partners directly support COMBA’s work—so when you support them, you’re helping keep great trails rolling. A full list of member benefits can be found here.

​Are you a chapter with IMBA?
In February 2023, COMBA ended its chapter affiliation with IMBA. This allows us to manage our own membership program, partner with a variety of local businesses, and run our own marketing campaigns. Importantly, all membership funds now go directly to supporting local trails and are no longer shared with IMBA. We remain an ally with IMBA and very much support the work they are doing on a national level.

​How much are memberships?​
Our memberships start at $15/year for youth (17 and under) and $39/year for adults. We offer either individual memberships or, at Black Level and above, family members can be added. All memberships run annually for 12 months from the day of sign-up.

Membership Transition FAQ - Switching from Join It to Hivepass.​​
Starting in October 2025, we're slowly switching over from our previous membership platform Join It, to a new app based software called Hivepass. We believe Hivepass provides a better user experience and are excited about this change. Please check out our answers below to the most common quetsions regarding this change.​

What does this mean for current members?
You don’t need to do anything right now! We’ll be transitioning members month by month, starting in October 2025. When your membership expires, we’ll reach out directly via email with instructions on how to move to Hivepass.
What if my membership expiration is coming up?
If your membership is up for renewal, watch your email inbox early in your renewal month for step-by-step instructions on joining Hivepass. Your current membership in our outgoing platform (Join It) will automatically expire at the end of its term, and we'll be sending instructions on how to easily get rolling with Hivepass.
Can I move to Hivepass sooner?
Yes! You can create a Hivepass account and start using the new platform at any time. Please note that existing memberships cannot be prorated, so moving early will require a new payment for your membership in Hivepass.
Why are we switching to an app?
Hivepass provides a much better experience and is quickly becoming the standard across the trail community. For example, the Southern Off-Road Bicycle Association (SORBA) now uses Hivepass to manage 47 chapters across seven states, supporting over 10,000 members.
Can I still use a desktop with Hivepass?
Absolutely! If you prefer not to download the app, you can still create an account and manage your membership from a desktop.
Will my current membership benefits carry over?
Yes—your benefits will remain the same when you transition to Hivepass.
Do I need to create a new account, or will my old login work?
You’ll need to create a new Hivepass account. Your old Join It login details will not carry over.
Will I still receive emails and newsletters?
Yes! Be sure to keep your contact information up to date in Hivepass so you don’t miss important updates.
Is my payment information safe?
Absolutely. Hivepass uses secure, industry-standard payment processing to protect your financial information.
What happens to my old Join It account?
Once your membership expires, your Join It account will no longer be active. All renewals and membership management will happen in Hivepass going forward.
