Membership is at the heart of what we do at COMBA. Being a member is your way to show support and give back, with your dollars going towards the maintenance and creation of new trails here in the Central Front Range. Join us and help make for a better ride.

In the last six years COMBA has proudly delivered:
-
Three new trail systems—Floyd Hill (2019), Maryland Mountain (2021), and Trek Trails at Virginia Canyon Mountain Park (2024)
-
Over a dozen bike-only directional trails and progressive features for all skill levels
-
Seasonal maintenance crews ensuring trails stay safe and sustainable
-
Community programs like Buffalo Creek Bike Patrol, Friends of VCMP, and the COMBA Women’s Program
Alongside our work for the trails, we've worked with local partners and businesses that support trails to offer unique member benefits at every level, just for you.

Some recent and upcoming trails projects that your membership helps fund:

-
Trek Trails at Virginia Canyon Mountain Park in Idaho Springs has been a huge project for us! It's been a massive 2025 for the par, opening new trails such as Eureka, Gauntlet Gold, Myer's Flyer, alongside the spicy alt-lines of 22 Karat and Craig Lange Memorial Trail.
 -
There’s a new bike-only directional trail at Lair O' The Bear! Called Rutabaga Ride, this trail allows riders to descend on a designated-use trail designed and built for mountain biking, safely away from the busy lower section and the path along the creek. This project was a COMBA trails project submittal in 2018, and we’re stoked to see this kind of project in JCOS!

-
Maryland Mountain’s new expert trail is called Ore Chute, and it is steep and rocky! The full trail opened in September 2022. Check out the videos on YouTube!
-
Warren Gulch is NOW BACK OPEN! This popular shuttle run was closed for two years due to private property conflicts.
-
North Elk Creek & Staunton State Park have a new trail called Rusty Buckle that cuts over a peak from NEC to Borderline, OPEN NOW!
-
We're also currently leading a planning process to improve the riding experiences in the Indian Creek recreation area. This is part of our Outside 285 Regional Partnership and partially funded by our Indian Creek planning grant.
