Trailfest: VCMP

Dig. Ride. Give Back!

Join us for a day of trail stewardship + riding in partnership with Levine Law! We're bringing riders together to dig, ride, and give back to the trails that make our community special. We're aiming to make trail work more approachable and welcoming for first-timers. Learn from our expert trail crew members and connect with fellow riders.

SCHEDULE

• Park in town (paid parking), or free parking at the Shelly/Quinn Baseball Fields. Please DO NOT park at the Argo.

• Meet at the Argo Mercantile at 8:00 AM

• 8:30-9 AM: Ride the Mighty Argo Cable Car up to Miner's Point, then ride down Drop Shaft or Eureka to the Hub

• 9:30 - 1:30 PM Get diggin'! We will be working on our latest trail project at VCMP, Old School

• 2:00 PM Ride at VCMP

• 2:30 PM - Post-dig party at Yards Taphouse

• No experience needed!

WHAT TO BRING

• Bike (helmet required)

• Plenty of water

• Snacks/lunch

• Work gloves (bike gloves will get trashed)

• Closed toe shoes

• Sunscreen

• Hat

• Weather appropriate layers

GETTING TO THE WORKSITE

Once we reach Miner’s Point, you will have three descent options to the Hub:

• Hikers — Rosa Gulch Trail

• Drop Shaft — blue/black flow

• Eureka — blue flow, easiest route down

The morning descent is about 1 mile and 550 feet of vertical descent, then pedal up Morning Star to our work site (~0.4 miles, 115 ft of climbing on double track)

GETTING DOWN THE MOUNTAIN AFTER WORK

After we wrap up, you'll have four descent options:

• Hikers — Rosa Gulch Trail

• Lower Drop Shaft — blue/black flow

• Gauntlet Gold — blue flow (easiest option, most straightforward way out of the park)

• Panic Switch — black tech
