Street Team Leader
COMBA’s vision is world-class mountain bike experiences in Colorado’s central Front Range. Each year, we organize, lead, and partner with sponsors for a variety of in-person events (race support, sponsor events, advocacy events, trail openings, etc., in an effort to augment those experiences. COMBA relies on volunteers from the region to help support our efforts at these events. The Street Team Leader will lead our efforts at these events to provide the best possible experience for our members, sponsors, etc.
The Street Team Leader should have an outgoing personality with a passion for connecting with people, other mountain bikers, sponsors, vendors, etc., and be comfortable recruiting and leading a team of volunteers in support of COMBA associated events.

PRIMARY POSITION DUTIES AND GOALS
The Street Team Leader must be self-directed and self-motivated to perform the following ongoing tasks in directing the efforts for various COMBA events:

Event leadership/organization - organize, lead, and participate in various COMBA associated events

Volunteer coordination - recruit, organize, manage, schedule, train/educate, and lead volunteers in support of COMBA associated events

Partnership liaison - connect with partner organizations (bike shops, bike manufacturers, etc.) in coordination of events

Administration duties
Event Leadership

Mentor, recruit, lead and serve alongside event volunteers that share a passion for Front Range mountain biking.

Collaborate with event sponsors

Educate, encourage and elevate volunteers on all things COMBA.

Report regularly to the COMBA Membership & Communications Director.
Volunteer Coordination

Identify and recruit volunteers willing to promote COMBA, mountain biking, and sponsor initiatives.

Educate volunteers on COMBA initiatives, goals and purpose.

Delegation of event duties and ensuring appropriate coverage for various events.

Manage the day-of volunteers and event.
Administration

Maintain contact information on volunteers

Communicate with and organize volunteers

Report to COMBA Membership & Communications Director

Photograph team at work, events, before/after photos and accomplishments to support COMBA communications
Work Schedule & Nature:
Flexible work schedule including weekends and evenings and physical requirements.

Pay:
This is primarily a volunteer position. In certain cases, a stipend per event on an event-by-event basis (larger, more involved events will pay at a higher rate), mileage reimbursement based on job site. Event stipend will range from $100-500 per event, with roughly 10 events on the 2023 calendar.

Location of work:
Central Front Range of Colorado land agencies within a 2-hour drive from Denver. *Required to have a vehicle that can haul a small trailer (less than 1,500lbs) or have the ability to carry event supplies in your vehicle.
